We began our adventures with Market America for different reasons.  I (Cindy) began strictly for additional income.  At the same time, Dan was using the products.  Neither knew about the other.

I was a single mom with two teenage children.  I had a full-time career as a dental hygienist.  I also earned extra income by coaching high school soccer.  I spent my remaining time completely involved with my children’s activities.  I was looking for a better way when I was asked to evaluate the Unfranchise® Business Development System.  I thought if I could make an additional $300 each month, I could take my kids on vacation.  In 2005, we traveled to Canada for a week’s vacation.  Our favorite was visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame and Niagara Falls.

Dan worked at a utility company and was overweight.  He lost 85 pounds while working with a personal trainer and supplementing with Market America products.  He was never informed there was a business behind these amazing products.  He compared it to shopping at Home Depot. He liked the products but never dreamed of owning the store.  Dan was smart and got his questions answered. 

In 2006 we met and were married ten months later.  Four months after our wedding, Dan lost his job of 22 years with the utility company.  How fortunate we were to have started our business when we didn’t “need” it.  Our timing still was not right until I lost my employment after 20 years with the same office.  With both of us unemployed, we finally realized what a powerful business opportunity we had.

Dan & I found the business is simple, but not easy.  You have to work at it to get the results and you have to have the right attitude to be successful.  Our team has become our second family.  We have so much fun working together; we sometimes forget that its work.  Our future keeps looking brighter and brighter.  Assisting others to dream again and change their lives is an incredible feeling. 

Market America has become my full time career!  My two children are now in college.  Working independently from home, Dan has had the opportunity to be with, get to know, and bond with his two stepchildren.  Market America is priceless.
